What this policy covers
This page explains what information is collected when you visit this website or use the contact form — including for the parents and caregivers who make first contact on behalf of their child.
Information collected
When you submit the contact form, the following is collected and sent directly to Maya Jennings via email:
- Parent/caregiver name
- Your email address
- The message content you provide, including any details you choose to share about your child
This site does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party advertising scripts. The "How sessions start" feelings check-in on the homepage runs entirely in your browser and does not collect, store, or transmit any data.
How your information is used
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry, and are never sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
Confidentiality & working with minors
Clinical records and session content for child clients are protected under standard therapist-client confidentiality and Texas health privacy requirements for minors, with the usual legal exceptions around safety (risk of harm, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult). Parents/guardians are informed of general progress through regular check-ins, while a child's specific in-session disclosures are handled with appropriate developmental and clinical judgment, explained fully during intake.
Data retention
Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Clinical records are retained according to Texas state requirements for licensed professional counselors.
Your rights
As a parent or guardian, you can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of information held about you or your child by reaching out directly via the contact form or email.
