What this policy covers
This page explains what information is collected when you visit this website or use the contact form, and how it's handled. As a therapy practice, protecting your privacy is a professional obligation, not just a legal one.
Information collected
When you submit the contact form, the following is collected and sent directly to Elena Marsh via email:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The message content you provide
This site does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party advertising scripts. No information is collected simply by browsing the site.
How your information is used
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry. Information shared through the form is treated with the same confidentiality standards that apply to clinical communication, and is never sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
Health information & confidentiality
If you become a client, information shared in therapy sessions is protected under standard therapist-client confidentiality and applicable health privacy law, with the usual legal exceptions around safety (risk of harm to yourself or others, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult). These terms are explained in full during your first session.
Data retention
Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Clinical records for clients are retained according to Oregon state requirements for licensed therapists.
Your rights
You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of any information held about you by reaching out directly via the contact form or email.
