What this policy covers
This page explains what information is collected when you visit this website or use the contact form, and how it's handled. Given the sensitive nature of this work, privacy is treated with particular care.
Information collected
When you submit the contact form, the following is collected and sent directly to Dr. Rowan Tate via email:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The message content you choose to provide
This site does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party advertising scripts. No information is collected simply by browsing the site, including use of the grounding exercise widget, which runs entirely in your browser and sends no data anywhere.
How your information is used
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry, and are never sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
Confidentiality
If you become a client, information shared in therapy sessions is protected under standard therapist-client confidentiality and applicable health privacy law, with the usual legal exceptions around safety (risk of harm to yourself or others, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult). These terms are explained fully during your first session.
Data retention
Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Clinical records for clients are retained according to Washington state requirements for licensed psychologists.
Your rights
You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of any information held about you by reaching out directly via the contact form or email.
